Gencon Head Collar
I have just uploaded 2 videos on Charley's thread showing how she walks both with and without a gencon collar on. I thought it would be useful to put it up here so that people can find it easily.
I have been usign the Gencon collars for several months and have achieved success each time I have used it. My own dog Nibs pulls like a steam train when he knows he is off to run. I found it hard controlling him, Sam (my lab cross rottie) plus 2 foster dogs at the time (Leo and Angie) who also pulled. I invested in Gencon head collars and have never looked back. OK, it does not teach the dog not to pull, but when you are trying to control 4 dogs at once you are never going to be able to stop them pulling in that situation. Nibs hated the Halti as it pushed his eyes shut and he just learned to walk backwards to still pull. The gencon is more like a horse leader and pulls their heads down slightly but witout any strain on their bodies.
This is me with my 2 dogs on gencons and one of Charley on a normal lead clipped to her collar:

I then put the Gencon on Charley and you can see she immediately had a loose lead and walked nicely. I have no idea why it worked so well on her, when you can see my other dogs would still take up the slack, but they are easy to control how far ahead they walk.

Has anyone else used them?

Re: Gencon Head Collar
I meant to add - I buy my gencons from this company: Pet's Perfect at www.petspertect.co.uk They cost around the £12 mark usually and the seller also sells on Ebay under the name of "happytailwaggers"
