Brilliant!
Oh, bless him! He looks like he's having so much fun in the snow! It also acts as a great contrast so that you can see his lovely colouring! You've obviously got a lot more snow than here in Tenbury! Where are you, by the way?
Re: Denzel - Working Cocker Spaniel, Dog (5 Years)
Hi again Ria, Jesses Mum and Lala and All,
Staffordshire Moorlands, on the border with Cheshire - we've got open fields to the back and though there is a main road to the front, its a church yard, private parkland then open fields on the other side so pretty rural for England....
The place I walk Denzel is a disused railway line (surfaced for walkers) that runs North South down the valley - about six miles North to the next town/village and many more South past the local village and on....
No walkies for Denzel tonight unfortunately since I have to let the ice, which is what the snow has now turned into melt more - it wouldn't do to break by legs, even in a good cause! I did walk him 4-5 miles in the fresh snow though, even if I got cold feet last night and didn't go far - I can't walk on ice, even if little Denzel (he seems to get less little daily!) would love it - I'm too top heavy!
Regards,
Denver.

Re: Denzel - Working Cocker Spaniel, Dog (5 Years)
Hi again Ria, Jesses Mum and Lala and All,
Well after the cold dry Winter, two minute warm Spring (was that the Summer?) and now what looks like a long wet cool time - thought it was time to put in some more pictures and happily report Denzel's behaviour with other dogs (all down to fear and insecurity) is slowly improving
Regards,
Denver.

He's looking mighty fine!!
Denzel is looking fab!! His coat is certainly growing now. You'll probably find a bramble bush or two in there in no time
We really miss Denzel - he was such a lovely boy. I'm really glad, though, that he found his forever home with you and has settled so well. Such a wonderful people dog. I'm sure he'll overcome his insecurities in time, but at least when you know what to expect, you know how to avoid any situations arising.
Keep up the good work, and give the lad a big cuddle from us.

Wow is all I will say He looks wonderful, I love the pics amongst the blue bells, this boy certainly landed on his paws with you.
As someone who has a dog with the same anxiety's it does get better doesn't it, hard work but so worth it.
Thanks for the update it's always lovely to see a dog you have seen at his very lowest blossom into a much loved member of the family, let's hope we get some brighter days for us all to enjoy.

Re: Denzel - Working Cocker Spaniel, Dog (5 Years)
Hi again Ria, Jesses Mum and Lala and All,
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas - Happy New Year to All.
I'm pleased to report that Denzel is developing well - he is now almost friendly with about half a dozen other dogs - the common factor seems to be the owners (they are the ones he really focusses on) have to be very friendly with him and their dogs (male or female) have to be older - I get the impression that he really thinks he's human!
He's pretty fit and well, though he gets a cough now and again - he's more mad about rolling in this snow (I'll try to upload a video anaon) than ever.
Here's my latest pictures of him since I last uploaded:
Can you see him dead centre of this picture and taking up about quarter of the frame - he's a master of camouflage, particularly at night!
This is the den that he's set up - I think he's decided he likes us so much he's decided to move in with us - or at least set up contingency accommodation to stay close even if things were to turn bad for him like in the past - it's sad that his experiences make him think this way, but very clever and pragmatic too!

Dapper Denzel
How wonderful to see the gorgeous photos of Denzel looking so happy. He certainly loves the snow!! He looks so different with such a thick, long coat - a total teddy bear!!! Love that he's still got that quiff!! It took me a while to pick him out of the photo in his den.
So glad to hear that he's making some canine friends too. I knew he had it in him!
Thanks so much for the update on the boy - it really is exciting to see him doing so well and being in such a wonderful home.
Happy belated new year greetings to you too!!
