Wyre Forest - camping with the dogs Empty Wyre Forest - camping with the dogs

Ok, not exactly far from the kennels but good enough to share....

3 humans and 3 dogs and went camping for a few days at a little campsite behind the Duke William pub. This is right opposite the entrance to Wyre Forest and avoids the £3 a day parking charge lol.

There are only basic facilities - I paid £13 a night for all of us which included £3 for electricity. There are no showers, but there is a nice large toilet (well, the loo is normal size ubt the room is big) and it is not too far to go in the middle of the night when nature calls lol. A massive field for the dogs to play and loll around was an added bonus especially as we were the only unit there for most of the time. This is one of the few campsites I have been to where they do not charge any extra for the dogs.

The trusty trailer tent - it will be 30 years old next year! Still in brilliant condition and as you can see, enjoyed by 2 of the dogs!

In the middle of our walk we found this little "lagoon" for want of a better description - the dogs started off looking for small sticks to retrieve....

.... and then they got a tad larger:

I will be staying at the same campsite for a few nights next year too - it was brilliant - the woods were great although a little crowded on the main walks. They have a "stick it and flick it" policy in the woods which makes a nice change from seeing poo bag trees!
