Alfie - Crossbreed, Dog (4 Months)
Re: Alfie - Crossbreed, Dog (4 Months)
This is my Ozzy boy..Oh what a joy he is..he has settled into family life very well..he greets all people & other dogs well & he loves his food & a cuddle...He will however benefit from the socialisation I hope I am able to give him in the very scary outside world...After all his early days being spent in kennels he is naturally wary of the world beyond the kitchen ..however it did not take long to realise that the wood burner is good for lying in front off, going in my bed , sitting & giving up his toys means a treat & Mum is really pleased if he does his business outside!!
We are starting with short journeys in the car now & that seems to be fine...we are walking on a lead just about happily & we went to puppy class on Saturday where our recall was brilliant & also it was fun to play with the other pups.
Helena & Richard came to visit yesterday & Helena will post her fabulous pictures of Ozzy here for you to see.
So if you are looking for a handsome, clever & very nice natured boy ..Please come & take a look at Ozzy he is going to be a little cracker...Feel free to ring me on 01497 847073 for any more information or contact the kennels..Keep reading his forum page as I am sure he will keep me & hopefully you entertained.

Re: Alfie - Crossbreed, Dog (4 Months)
Ozzy continues to thrive he is just a joy ...funny...well behaved....starting to enjoy his walks around the village although he sometimes finds it scary when we go on our own.. now he feels confident in his home he has that mad half hour at night when he races through all the rooms usually with his pink elephant in his mouth, I have tried to capture him but it just turns into a blur. .guess it's one of those Got to be there moments & indeed you could if you could offer Ozzy his forever home...he doesn't need a fancy palace or a millionaire just somebody home most of the time or able to take him to work...2 good walks a day...a warm bed...good food & lot's & lot's of love, some toys of his own so he won't be in trouble for chewing your things & kindness in continuing to educate him in the ways of the world...not much to ask for the undying love & loyalty you will have in return from this super chilled out boy...Please feel free to call me or the kennels if you think you may be that person ...you won't regret it.
Thank's Ria for adding his photos ...Ozzy was really helpful tidying the garden!!!

Re: Alfie - Crossbreed, Dog (4 Months)
Alfie is one lucky boy:cheers: He has a new home & a new brother called Harry, they met on Sunday & were wonderful together had a good romp but calmed down very well when we went inside...His new Mom & Dad are away for a few days but on their return & subject to home check Alfie will be going to an area near the Forest of Dean so lots of lovely walks for him...He has been an absolute joy to have in our home & trust me the tears will flow when he goes & that's just Gerry!!..
I will be keeping in touch with his new family so I am sure we will see how Alfie progresses over the next few months & becomes the lovely family dog he was born to be.
I shall really be sad:( to see him go BUT it has been great fun having Iris & Alfie to stay & hopefully giving them the start in life that they deserve..For anyone thinking of fostering a dog.this is the first time I have done this & all I can say is Yes it's hard seeing them go But there is unfortunately always another one who needs our help so if you have the time & room to do fostering give it a go I don't think you will regret it

Further update today:
Hi just an update on Alfie.
He is being a little star and seems to be settling in very well. His confidence is growing now and we're starting to see chinks of his little personality emerge. he is an absolutely gorgeous little boy and I'm so glad we chose a rescue dog this time. I would recommend it.
He is so well behaved ( thanks to Sarah) and loving ......
update
[img][/img]Hi
just an update on Alfie, he is settling in lovely and is becoming very comical as his confidence grows..He has had a poorly tummy ( his vet feels it was a reaction to the advocate as the worms in the tummy leave little perforated holes where they had latched which can get infected.) For the first time in 7 days he has had his first "solid" although I dont know how impressed he will be when it means he can come off the delicious chicken and rice lol......
The vet also judged him to be a bit younger than his owners said when they dropped them in, the vet said looking at his teeth he is approx 4 weeks younger than thought. If this is right then my little man is amazing as he has now had two dry nights already!!
He has settled in so so well, and is giving us so much pleasure and feeling very loved himself :-)
will add a few more pics when I work out how to do it...

adopted brother
hi there, I'm not sure this is the right place to post this, but I think we adopted Alfie's brother about a month ago. I've looked at the pictures of him and they must be from the same litter. I'ts lovely to see Alfie get re-homed, when my friends saw Lobo they all wanted one! I'd like to put some pictures up of Lobo he is an amazing dog! I cant believe how well behaved he is! I'll post a quick picture (the only one that's not blurred)

Re: Alfie - Crossbreed, Dog (4 Months)
Hi just a quick catch up.
Alfie is doing really well. hes gaining so much confidence and loves his walks.Already he and his new bro' Harry are inseparable. He is socialising really well with both people and dogs.
We have had a week of dry nights now which is great. The only complaints I have is his "farting" you dont know its coming and it hits you like a ton of bricks, how does such a sweet little man produce such foul "eau -de -Alfie"........ and in the car you cant even escape!!! then he has the gall to look at you with the sweetest striking eyes which automatically exhonerates him from any responsibility :-)
in all seriuosness, he is thriving, we are falling more in love with him every day.
He is respectfully cautious of our cat, which was our main concern. In fact the other night he panicked when she did a threatening swipe at him and he ended up running (for his life mind!! ) and sitting straight on top of our poor sleeping Harry, the shorkie, who was woken up by a big lump planting his butt stright on him... ( what a wooooss!!) a
Every thing is great, he is so so endearing and an established member of our family already.... we are very lucky to have such a gentle boy......
