Well, this will be Ben'
s 2nd Christmas with us and what a joy he's been. Far from perfect, cant seem to stop him jumping up ,not just visitors, but ourselves. Tried the usual advice, but to no avail. He's also not keen on most other dogs and does love a lot of attention. I'm probably to blame for that, as after my family left for Australia I was heartbroken and Ben filled the gap left by the grandchildren. He constantly makes us laugh and the best bit of getting up in the morning is seeing his happy face and wagging tale, waiting to fetch the morning paper. He loves the car and always assumes he's coming with us, which he usually is. He has really completed our family and can't imagine life without him. I would urge anyone who wants love and fun in their life to rescue a dog, staffies are wonderful despite their undeserved reputation. We all know that's usually the fault of the owner. Dave had his work cut out persuading me to have one, he was so sorry that all the rescue centres are full of them , but wouldn't have anything else now and can't resist stopping other staffie owners for a chat--- but not when Ben's with me. So glad this forum is up and running and would be most grateful on advice about the jumping up.

I've seen pictures of Ben and he's such a beautiful coloured boy! I think yours is the perfect example of a rescue dog being saved and in return, saving his new adopters. I hope you all have a lovely Christmas together Smile x
